ATMOS Marketing and SunWash Technologies have taken home the top prizes in this year’s Venture London business plan competition, in a ceremony at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn & Conference Centre on April 3, 2013.
SunWash Technologies, a client with our Advisory Services team and the recipient of this year’s Techcellence Award for Innovation, took top spot in the Startup Business category, while TechAlliance members ATMOS Marketing won in the Existing Business category. Each of the winning companies receives thousands of dollars in cash and in-kind supports and services, but for each company there are a significant secondary benefits as well.
“The Venture London Business competition was a great experience for us.” says Patrick Therrien, COO of SunWash, a world leader in self-cleaning plastics, “The prizes we received were great, but the contacts we made and the publicity we received are invaluable. We are truly grateful for the win and were not prepared for the overwhelming support we would receive from the London community.”
Corey Dubeau, partner with digital marketing agency ATMOS Marketing believes that competitions like Venture London are vital to growing the local economy. “We’re starting to see a lot more young, motivated people taking start-ups a lot more serious. London needs to keep providing opportunities like this to new entrepreneurs, so we can foster growth, and above all… passion and excitement for business.”
