AutoVerify, powered by Mobials Inc., has made sign enhancements to the free Digital Merchandising arm of its Digital Retailing Suite in response to a need consistently expressed by dealer customers looking for new ways to drive profit to their finance and insurance (F&I) business through their website.
With fewer consumers physically visiting the dealership, it has become critical to have information on the dealership website that showcases a vehicle’s value and introduces F&I earlier in the process.
By displaying vehicle features that add value to the vehicle and introducing F&I options right on the vehicle details page, Digital Merchandising presents these options earlier in the buying journey, effectively bringing the back-of-the-house to the front-of-the-house without mentioning the price of F&I offerings. This is a key strategy to help dealerships increase their F&I business, as a study from Cox Automotive reports that 63% of consumers would be more likely to buy F&I products if they learned about them before finalizing their vehicle purchase.
“Our company has focused on empathy and innovation during this pandemic,” explains Marty Meadows, President at AutoVerify. “We recognize that the automotive industry is forever changed, so we’ve driven our team towards two goals: Improving our current product offering to help the industry adapt and thrive alongside these changes, and making sure our current and potential customers are able to adopt and learn these new offerings without price as a barrier.”
Digital Merchandising is free to all automotive dealers regardless of whether they have a paid subscription with AutoVerify and works by adding Spotlights to the vehicle details page, drawing attention to vehicle attributes that many customers are looking for. These Spotlights include new vehicle listings, low mileage vehicles, recent price reductions, SiriusXM availability and promos, plus available protection products such as prepaid maintenance products, total loss insurance, tire and wheel protection, interior/exterior protection, and vehicle service contracts. New spotlights to come include vehicle safety ratings, awards and OEM rebates and incentives.
The Digital Retailing Suite offers three layers of functionality; digital merchandising, digital research, and e-commerce. While AutoVerify has always offered its Digital Merchandising tool free of charge, the company is currently in the midst of a promotion that offers its entire Digital Retailing Suite to new customers at no monthly software fee, and upgrades existing customers to its newly-launched E-Commerce option at no monthly software fee. Monthly software fees will resume on August 1, 2020.
