Our team at Simalam loves London. Each one of us is a transplant, meaning that we didn’t grow up here but actively decided to make it our home. Although we give back and contribute to the community in various ways, we thought it’d be great to build something that everyone can use – a web app!
Our team spent much of the day brainstorming ideas that we thought would benefit London as a whole and these are our top 4 picks:
- What’s for Lunch?
A hyper-local (think East Village or Wortley) app that help you choose what to eat for lunch that day. - Activity Finder
Want to get into the great outdoors and connect with other active people? This app will let you find pick-up games (e.g. hockey, volleyball, etc.) in your neighbourhood or around the city. - When’s my damn garbage day?
So… uh… when is it? - Our Night Out
No idea what’s going on in London tonight? Tomorrow? We’ll help you find something to do – there’s always something great happening in London!
We need your help though! Tell us which app you’d like to see built:
At the Southwest Business Expo on Wednesday, June 11, we’ll be asking attendees to help beta-test and submit their suggestions for app features – and then implement their suggestions and revisions live during the conference!
