Breakthrough Award
The Breakthrough Award recognizes a company who has brought a novel solution, impactful to the market, and is currently generating revenue, attracting team members and creating significant buzz in Southwestern Ontario’s innovation economy. This technology clearly demonstrates next-level innovation; a breakthrough solution with significant realized or potential market impact. Companies at any stage of business are eligible for this award.

Gamechanger Award
The Gamechanger Award recognizes a company whose culture is paramount to the success of their business, accelerating growth and profitability while creating positive impact. They demonstrate going above and beyond to successfully move the needle on equity, diversity and inclusion within Southwestern Ontario’s tech community. Companies at any stage of business are eligible for this award.

Scaleup Award
The Scaleup Award recognizes a company that has realized substantial growth over the last 12 months. This technology-powered venture has achieved success through leadership, market impact and innovation, becoming an emerging leader and role model in Southwestern Ontario’s tech sector. The recipient of this award will continue to grow and impact innovation in the region.

Forthcomer Award
The Forthcomer Award recognizes a young professional, a true trailblazer, working to contribute to and create an impact in the world of innovation. Here we celebrate the next generation of big thinkers, dreamers and go-getters. Individuals 29 years of age and under, at the time of application, with a functioning business, product, idea or plan for an innovation or technology company are eligible for this award.
The recipient of The Forthcomer Award will receive $2,500 of seed funding.

The People’s Choice Award
The People’s Choice Award honours a standout in the innovation space selected from the finalists across all Limitless award categories. Through a virtual voting platform, our regional tech community will have their say in deciding who will be the 2022 People’s Choice recipient. Winner will be announced at Limitless on February 8, 2023.

Know someone who deserves to be recognized? Nominate a deserving venture or individual by filling out our brief nomination form and choosing the appropriate award category. The nominee will automatically receive an email with a link to the application form for the selected award category.

Nominees are expected to fill out their own application forms, as no one knows their stories better than them. Applications must be submitted before October 31, 2022 at 11:59 pm EST.
If you’re a tech-based company or have a tech-enabled product or service in Southwestern Ontario — including Elgin, Huron, Lambton, Middlesex, and Oxford counties— you are encouraged to submit an application. For-profit, non-profit, and social enterprise organizations alike are eligible to apply for Limitless.
TechAlliance staff, companies involved in the adjudication process, and immediate family members living in the same house are not eligible to enter in the awards application.
Immediate family members include: spouse, child, parent, stepchild, stepparent, grandparent, grandchild, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law and any other relative permanently residing in the employee’s household.
TechAlliance Board of Directors and their employees may apply, so as long as they are not involved in the adjudication process.
To showcase and recognize growth in our ecosystem, past recipients are welcome to apply for award categories that they were unsuccessful in achieving during previous years.
Recipients must commit to a 1-hour filming session in London, Ontario at 333 Dufferin Ave. on one of the following dates: Dec 14, 15, 16.
Yes, there is no limit to the number of awards for which a venture or individual can be nominated.
Each award has specific criteria conveyed on the application form. See each form for details:
Nominations open September 28, 2022 and will close on October 31, 2022 at 11:59pm EST.
The finalists will be announced in each of the four award categories on November 30, 2022, at which time the voting for the People’s Choice will be open until January 10, 2023.
Award recipients will be revealed at Limitless on February 8, 2023.
