Mr. Albert Lam, is a Certified Marketing Research Professional. He is the Executive Director of BrainVision Market Analytics Inc. and has a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration major in Real Estate Planning & Development from the University of Toronto. He has 23 years’ experience in survey design and implementation, statistics and market research. He has technical skills and experience in statistical and data analysis, data mining, business intelligence, spatial demographic data, market research, and organizational research.
His credentials are: Certified SAS Base Programmer 2013; Certified SAS Advanced Programmer 2013; and CMRP (Certified Marketing Research Professional) from MRIA (Marketing Research & Intelligence Association) in 2004. He leads, develops and defines the optimum systems and operational framework required to meet current and future analytic requirements. He creates measured value through data analytics from across the organization and mines data to deliver insights, support decision making and facilitate strategic business planning. He focuses on implementation of predictive analytics, lifetime value and needs-based analytics strategies. He simplifies, consistently produces and develops analytical models and assets to drive measurable value. He helps executives and decision makers understand their operations, transactions, services and identify new opportunities that can only be uncovered through analytics.
Mr. Mark Phillips serves as Director, Business Development for BrainVision activities and works closely with all consultants and affiliates on all projects. He brings over 10 years of executive level – COO (Corporate Networks) and CEO (YMCA) – experience in the technology and voluntary sectors. He is a dynamic leader known for his ability to revitalize underperforming
organizations. He played an instrumental role in saving the YMCA of Wood Buffalo – a $6M operation with 140 staff in recreation, childcare, and government contracts for employment and temporary foreign workers – that was almost dissolved prior to his leadership there.
He brings sound experience and knowledge in organizational culture and development, marketing and communications strategy, policy development, interpretation and implementation as well as technical knowledge and proficiency in financial, project and performance management and human resources development. His strong belief in building effective teams has allowed him to succeed in many areas as a CEO: coordination of capital projects with staff preparation and advertising campaigns; starting a $500k endowment fund; achieving new volunteer targets in the hundreds at various YMCAs; completing numerous major capital renovation projects on “me and on budget; opening numerous childcare centres and summer day camps for kids; and, consistently achieving financial goals in all areas of operations.
He has demonstrated competencies in strategic planning, enterprise risk management, conflict resolution, community development and partnerships. Mr. Phillips is forward thinking and exemplifies strong business and political acumen demonstrated through his involvement on various Boards of Directors including the Chamber of Commerce. He holds executive management certificates from Queen’s University in finance and governance and degrees in psychology (University of Western Ontario), chemistry and leisure studies (University of Ottawa).
Mr. K. Yiu is BrainVision’s Chief Statistical Modeller. He has15 years of experience in advanced analytics, predictive modelling, optimization, strategy formulation, data mining, customer analytics, statistical analysis and business intelligence reporting. His work experience is in complicated statistical model solutions in audit analytics, fraud analytics, credit risk, AML analytics, and customer insights. KY provides meaningful and value-added insights to internal auditors through data analysis. He devised and delivered fraud analytics for business lines including Mortgages, Loans, Line of Credits, Indirect Lending, Debit Banking, Credit Cards, Internal Fraud, and Insurance across the Bank. He designed, built and maintained a comprehensive Credit Fraud Model to proactively identify and mitigate emerging credit frauds at the acquisition stage for Loans, Credit Lines, and Mortgages. He created a sophisticated model framework to detect Kiting frauds for Debit-Banking portfolios. He devised and developed a thorough and advanced analytics package, including supervised predictive models, unsupervised statistical models as well as complicated linkage analysis, to detect potential fraudulent auto insurance claims.
