With over 15 years in the tech industry, Anita has evolved her career from Buyer roles to leading Purchasing, Inventory and Logistics teams to working with Executive and Senior Leaders, setting strategy, operationalizing initiatives and leading large international project teams in organizations with 25 employees to over 14000. With a specialty in Change Management-The People Side of Change, experience in Business Operations (Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, Product Quality), Product Management and IT Operations, she has built a career with a holistic, cross functional base to enable strong leadership.
Anita feels strongly in the importance of giving back and thus is an advocate and speaker for Make-A-Wish Foundation, Children’s Health Foundation, ChildCan and Canadian Blood Services and sits on the Paediatric Family Advisory Council for Children’s Hospital, LHSC’s Community Advisory Council and Co-Chair’s the Strategic Planning Committee for LHSC.
In 2017, Anita dove two feet in to social entrepreneurship after questioning how much her day to day work was contributing to positive change in the community. Launching a social enterprise in the tech industry struck the perfect balance in marrying her love for community and corporate expertise and thus, SEED Learning was born.
