Serge Anissimoff, Head of Intellectual Property Group

Serge Anissimoff works with businesses concerned with the preparation and filing of patent, trademark, design, and copyright applications and related matters in the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the United States Patent Trademark Office.

He also represents clients involved in Intellectual Property Litigation in the Federal Court, Trial and Appeal Divisions, and the Ontario Court of Justice. His professional exposure to industrial fields includes farm machinery, automotive and industrial batteries, engine compressor blades, pipeline and drilling, glass and packaging, pharmaceutical, herbicides, and biotechnology as those sectors related both to his specialized field and generally as they relate to the commercial endeavors of manufacture, distribution and sale of products and services.

 

Peter Dillon, Partner, Head of Technology Group

Licensed in both Canada and the United States, Peter works extensively with start-ups and established national and international businesses. Peter heads the firm’s Technology Law Practice Group.

Peter works extensively with clients involved in the technology, manufacturing and services sectors. He has decades of experience in mergers and acquisitions of businesses. He advises clients on matters relating to cybersecurity, disaster recovery plans, privacy and anti-spam, including PIPEDA, Privacy Shield and GDPR compliance.
He has received an Osgoode Certificate in Negotiating and Drafting IT Agreements. He is a member of the Canadian Technology Law Association, TechAlliance, Toronto Computer Lawyers Group, Legal Hackers, and Blockchain Canada. He serves as a director of a number of foreign-owned Canadian entities, and on the Non-Executive board of Learning Enterprises Organisation Ltd. (UK).
