CityMatch delivers a powerful attraction and retention solution to employers by providing personalized settlement services to employees and families relocating to London. We reduce the stresses and pressures of navigating the challenges of relocating to a new city. From helping your employees find the right home, neighborhood and school to exploring the recreational programs available for your employee and their family; we provide a ‘soft-landing’ for your employee’s and their families so they can build meaningful lives in London.
1. What is your role and what is your favorite part of your job?
As a dedicated Community Concierge to my clients and their employees, I work closely with new employees and their families to ease their transition into the city. Uprooting a family to a new city is incredibly stressful so I help reduce that stress and disruption by being their dedicated guide. From the moment they say yes to the new opportunity until they are firmly established in the city, I am supporting them every step of the way.
2. If you could have coffee with any business leader or industry expert, who would you choose, and why?
I would say Stephen Bolton, the CEO and Head Coach at Libro Credit Union because he is a one the city’s brightest minds. He is a respected leader and innovator and represents the “whole package” in my view. He’s a big picture guy who thinks far outside the box and isn’t afraid to take on risks and try new things – while encouraging the same from his team. Best part of all, he continues to demonstrate a tremendous commitment to London and our region – and I love that.
3. What is the #1 business book/blog/website you would recommend?
Everyone should have a copy of Business Model Generation and Value Proposition Design by Osterwalder and the folks from Strategyzer but I recently read ReWork and loved it.
4. Looking at your company’s future, what are you most enthusiastic about?
I look forward to CityMatch becoming the most trusted and respected go-to-company for employee-centred companies who are moving talent into the city. I look forward to helping local companies protect their talent investments, support their attraction and retention efforts and build powerful employer brands. And most importantly, I am excited about the opportunity to support newcomers to London successfully relocate and build rich and meaningful lives here. I can’t wait to show them how great London is.
5. What excites you most about the local tech community?
London’s tech sector is booming and I’m especially excited about what I see happening in our digital media sector. This sector is turning out an incredible roster of global players and movers and shakers and I believe capturing the imagination of talent from all over the world. It’s a great story and I believe part of the positive shift happening in London right now.
