Digital media agency. Web design company. Community partner. London booster. The force behind Canada’s Worst Charity Website and The Arts Grant. No matter how you knew rtraction, there’s a new way to refer to us. Our 13-year-old agency has undergone a rebrand and emerged as…
Ellipsis Digital and Engine SevenFour.
It’s been an exciting year for the company—big projects, substantial growth, a Business Achievement Award from the London Chamber of Commerce, the imminent move into an inspiring renovated heritage property. The year also included some introspection about who we were, who we are, and who we will be. Our Big Thinking led us to the realization that we’d outgrown our name and our identity.
While we’d been operating as a single entity, the company has two divisions. The more public face is what has evolved from a web development shop to a full-service digital agency that delivers development, design, content, analytics, marketing and strategy. This agency side is now Ellipsis Digital.
The strong but silent force sharing workspace and work values is a custom PHP application development group that specializes in the Laravel framework. They are now called Engine SevenFour.
The background of both of the new names is explained in company president David Billson’s blog post on the new Ellipsis.Digital website (www.ellipsis.digital). Billson says, “We expect that our rebrand and restructure will better align our clients and our staff with the range of products and services that we have to offer. I’m excited to release the new brands into the world and watch them create positive change.”
Each brand has a new logo and website. The two brands will share the London Roundhouse, in the city’s SoHo neighbourhood, as well as a core set of values and, for the first time, a manifesto. rTraction Canada, Inc. will persist as the corporate parent.
