The Southwestern Ontario Angel Group (SWOAG) today announced that John Pollock will join SWOAG as its new Managing Director commencing January 12, 2015.
Pollock brings over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience as founder of several businesses, and a breadth of experience in Angel investing and finance. Most recently, Pollock held the position Founder and Director of BizInc, a student business incubator/accelerator located on campus at Western University and Fanshawe College in London Ontario. Pollock holds an MBA from Western University. He will be responsible for the ongoing operations of SWOAG as well as implementing specific activities to expand and enhance Angel investing in London and SW Ontario and growing SWOAG as a value added partner for both investors and entrepreneurs.
The Board of Directors expressed their thanks to SWOAG founder and former Managing Director Carmen Gicante for his contributions over the past 7 years. Gicante has decided to retire and spend more time on personal pursuits, family and travel. He will continue with SWOAG as a Director and assist with the transition.
