StarTech.com was honoured with the prestigious Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation once again. The 2017 Best Managed program recognizes the best-in-class of Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $15 million demonstrating strategy, capability and commitment to achieve sustainable growth. This year, StarTech.com is a winner of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies Platinum Club designation, having retained its Best Managed designation for seven consecutive years or more.
“Companies that earn Platinum Club status, by retaining their Best Managed status for seven years or more, exemplify exceptional vision and leadership and a sustained commitment to growth and innovation,” said Jon Hountalas, Executive Vice President, Business and Corporate Banking, CIBC. “CIBC is proud to recognize these and all of the 2017 Canada’s Best Managed Companies winners as leaders in their industries,” Mr. Hountalas added.
Last year was an exciting year for StarTech.com with notable accomplishments and company milestones reached. The head office in London, Ontario was expanded to double in size and make room for 100 new employees as the company continues to grow. A new president, Lynn Smurthwaite-Murphy, was appointed and she brings a magnitude of tech industry experience to help StarTech.com navigate its growth into the future.
Notable recent accomplishments include being included on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private US companies for 10 consecutive years as well as inclusion on the Profit 500 list of fastest growing Canadian companies. The Platinum Club designation from Canada’s Best Managed Companies speaks the continued growth that StarTech.com experienced throughout 2016.
“We are thrilled to be included on the prestigious list of Canada’s Best Managed Companies once again and achieving the Platinum Club designation after seven consecutive years on the list is particularly an honour,” commented StarTech.com CEO, Paul Seed. “This distinction validates that our customer focus and the strategies we have implemented are resonating. Most of all, I believe that it is our people focus that encourages all StarTech.com team members to contribute to the implementation of our strategies and share in our success, that has made this possible.”
2017 winners of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies award will be honoured at the annual Canada’s Best Managed Companies gala in Toronto on April 19, 2017. On the same date, the Best Managed symposium will address leading-edge business issues that are key to the success of today’s business leaders.
