Do you or a company you know, understand the importance of giving back by doing more than simply making a donation? Is it understood that community involvement is a long-term commitment, not a singular philanthropic project? Does this company deserve recognition for their efforts to partner with and support the community? If so, then we invite you to submit a nomination for the Techcellence Award for Community Engagement.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. The nominee must be a technology-based company located within TechAlliance’s catchment area (the cities of London, St. Thomas, Woodstock, and Sarnia, and the counties of Huron, Elgin, Middlesex and Lambton)
  2. They must have partnered with a charitable or non-profit organization to provide a technology solution (ie. website, application, software, hardware etc.)
  3. The partnership or community involvement program must be sustainable and measurable

Assessment Criteria:

Nominations will be evaluated by leaders from both the business and nonprofit sectors. Our evaluation panel will look for exemplary corporate community involvement programs and partnerships that demonstrate:

  • A creative, valuable, and sustainable technology solution
  • A significant contribution (ie. time or money) from the nominated company
  • Active involvement of both partners in the design, implementation and final review of the project or program
  • Engagement and integration across the company with the direct involvement of senior leadership
  • The support of a current need in the community and adds value to the cause

The deadline to submit a nomination and all supporting documents is Wednesday, February 27, 2019.
