Following the launch of the third London Innovation Challenge, TechAlliance of Southwestern Ontario, alongside an adjudication panel of local creative industry leaders, selected BIOSA Technologies and EXAR Studios as the winners of the Challenge. These two companies each bring a unique perspective of what it means to Bolster Creative Industries In addition to venture growth support and advisory services through TechAlliance, each company will receive $40,000 in funding to advance their innovation and support creative industry growth in London. 

With a focus on providing access and resources to creative industries, these businesses are driving ideas that create measurable impact through technology in the music, entertainment, and textiles, and design industries. 

BIOSA Technologies is revolutionizing the local textile industry for artists and creatives. Using one-of-a-kind technology, BIOSA will collaborate with Goodwill Industries and Fanshawe School of Fashion to envision a scalable textile recycling process, that will then be used to make new textiles, paints, and resins for a variety of artists. 

EXAR Studios is reimagining the connection between audiences and local musicians. Leveraging their Engage Art platform, EXAR will provide real-time curation of local shows, as well as embeddable maps for music-goers to find their favorite local artists. By animating the local music scene, EXAR is bolstering access to impressive musical talent across London.
