Canadian Business and Maclean’s today ranked Voices.com number 224 on the 30th annual Growth 500, the definitive ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies. The company made the list as a result of a five-year revenue growth of 319%. This is the fifth consecutive year that Voices.com, the world’s largest online voice over platform, has been named to the prestigious list, representing consistent growth that ranks among Canada’s top businesses.
“Given the competitiveness of the ranking and the challenges associated with sustaining high growth, it is very difficult for any company to make the ranking for five straight years,” says Growth 500 Program Manager Deborah Aarts. Produced by Canada’s premier business and current affairs media brands, the Growth 500 ranks Canadian businesses on five-year revenue growth. Growth 500 winners are profiled in a special print issue of Canadian Business published with Maclean’s magazine and online at CanadianBusiness.com and Growth500.ca.
“We’re honored to again be included among Canada’s fastest-growing and most ambitious companies,” says Voices.com CEO, David Ciccarelli. “The entire Voices.com team is ever inspired to serve our customers and build our platform. This recognition is a symbol that we’ve matured from a startup to a scale-up, moving into a new phase of growth. Our team’s focus will always be to help organizations communicate more effectively using the power of the human voice.”
Voices.com recently eclipsed 500,000 registered users and has the largest market share, making it the undisputed leader in the voice over industry. The company has also been recognized as one of the fastest-growing businesses in North America, appearing on the 2017 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 and Deloitte Technology Fast 50.
“The companies on the 2018 Growth 500 are truly remarkable. Demonstrating foresight, innovation and smart management, their stories serve as a primer for how to build a successful entrepreneurial business today,” Aarts says. “As we celebrate 30 years of the Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies program, it’s encouraging to see that entrepreneurship is healthier than ever in this country.”
For the second straight year, London, ON-based Digital Echidna has found itself on the Canadian Business and Maclean’s 30th annual Growth 500 list, the definitive ranking of Canada’s fastest-growing companies. Digital Echidna ranks as no. 241 on the 2018 Growth 500 list with a five-year revenue growth of 285%.
Ranking Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies by five-year revenue growth, the Growth 500, formerly known as the PROFIT 500, profiles the country’s most successful entrepreneurial businesses. “Digital Echidna is pleased to be on the Growth 500 ranking for the second consecutive year,” company president Andrew McClenaghan said. “This is confirmation to me of the trust many
companies have put in Digital Echidna to deliver reliable, high-quality results, and of the talent and dedication of our incredible staff.”
“What makes us most proud is that we’ve been able to grow without compromise. As evidenced by the feedback we get from clients on sites like clutch.co, our growth has been propelled by the quality of our work.”
“It’s exciting to see Digital Echidna again recognized on a national stage,” said Kapil Lakhotia, President & CEO of London Economic Development Corporation. “In addition to the technologies, services and jobs it has created, it has also provided a strong voice for the Digital Creative sector of our community.”
McClenaghan said he attributes the company’s success to a strategic decision years ago to focus almost exclusively on the Drupal content management system. In doing this, Digital Echidna was able to refine their product offering, invest heavily in accreditation and professional development amongst staff, and position itself through experience and output, as one of Canada’s leading Drupal development shops and most recognized expert in accessible web design. Today, Echidna offers much more than Drupal based web solutions, but still maintains a heavy presence in this open-source technology.
