Voices.com, the marketplace platform that connects voice over talent from around the world with brands like Microsoft, Hulu, and GoDaddy, is marking a significant milestone in its history with more than 500,000 registered users buying and selling voice services in a streamlined way. With an $18 million investment from Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital in July 2017, the past year has seen Voices.com solidify their position as the undisputed leader in the voice over industry, with the largest market share online.
Since the company’s acquisition of Voicebank.net and subsequent brand unification in August 2017 and January 2018, respectively, Voices.com has expanded to include voice actors from SAG-AFTRA. The only platform in the world to offer both professional freelance and celebrity voice actors, Voices.com’s overall client base significantly year over year. Meanwhile, Voices.com’s global reach has also increased in the past year, with customers now representing 160 different countries.
“We’ve been disciplined to execute on our strategic plan, resulting in a very successful year since our investment last July,” said CEO David Ciccarelli. “We’re now serving over 500,000 users on our platform and have experienced an impressive jump in transactions on the site. This is evidence of wide adoption, from both the clients finding the perfect voice for their projects and the voice over talent being successful in finding work on our platform.”
Additionally, in September 2017, Voices.com was ranked in the top 100 of the PROFIT 500 ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies. Reporting a five-year revenue growth of 1,166%, Voices.com
ranks 61st out of 500 companies, and sits in the top 12% of companies ranked nationwide. In November 2017, Voices.com was recognized as one of the fastest growing technology companies in North America, appearing on the 2017 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 and Deloitte Technology Fast 500.
The company has also been recognized as a Best Workplace™ and an Employee Recommended Workplace for 2018. In the year since the investment, Voices.com has grown to employ 120 people, continuing its commitment to and leadership in corporate culture and employee engagement.
