Today Voices.com and the Federal Economic Development Agency For Southern Ontario announced that Voices.com would receive 900 thousand dollars in investment funding through the Investing in Business Growth and Productivity initiative offered by the federal government. Voices.com plans to hire 45 new employees to expand its outreach into the global market, translating its products into six languages.
David Cicarelli, the CEO and co-founder of Voices.com, and a member of the Board of Directors of TechAlliance, was very pleased with the opportunities this funding creates:
“Thanks to the Canadian government, we will further participate in the strengthening of our local economy through the creation of meaningful work that makes a difference in the lives of Londoners and beyond. These funds will help us to tap more deeply into the rich and diverse human resources available in our city, a city that is well-positioned for excellence and economic growth.”
Voices.com is the online marketplace that connects business people with professional voice over talents. Founded in 2004, the company has been a TechAlliance member since 2005 and one of London’s great success stories.
