Western University and Fanshawe College are pleased to announce that Ian Haase has been selected as Western’s Director of Student Entrepreneurship. This is a new position related to funding secured from the Ontario Government to develop a Student Entrepreneurship Centre in London, in collaboration with Fanshawe College. Ian will begin in this capacity on September 1, 2014.
Ian brings forward a wealth of experience, knowledge and skills that will support ongoing growth of student and youth entrepreneurship at Western (and across London), in collaboration with colleagues at Fanshawe College and our valued community/industry partners.
With an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a MSc from McGill University, Ian has worked for the past four years at TechAlliance, most recently as Vice-President, Operations and Startup Services. In this role, Ian supported more than 300 entrepreneurs in the development and launch of new startups in London, including youth and students from Western University and Fanshawe College. Ian has previous experience in higher education as a Research Manager at McGill University, and graduated as a student entrepreneur in 2005 as the founder and CEO of Spatial Solutions, a successful software company based in Montreal, Canada.
