One of the very unique ventures happening in London right now is Zepeel, a completely mobile video dating app. Zepeel is being developed right here in London by rtraction Canada Inc. And the venture has just achieved a huge milestone, being approved for OCE Smart Start funding. CEO Steve Szikszay says the funding will be used for software development and training. The OCE application was endorsed by TechAlliance President & CEO Marilyn Sinclair, as well as TechAlliance Business Analyst Jeremy Ward.
Why video dating? Szikszay says, “By having a video profile we capture a more authentic personality of our users to make stronger connections. We then use video-based messaging and live video chat to help singles make a stronger, more real connection online. We have a one of a kind Watch + Talk + Meet video interactive process that only connects users who are interested in each other. It guides and helps users determine if there is attraction and chemistry online before meeting in person. As an added bonus, we are limiting the risk of someone not being who they say they are so that authentic connections can be made.”
CIO David Billson adds, “The OCE funding allows us to tap into other resources in our community to help grow our exciting application. We are pleased to have OCE and TechAlliance as supporting agencies as we look forward to launching the next version of our revolutionary application.”
Interested in the app? You can check them out online here. What’s next for Zepeel? “The app will be released on the App Store and Google Play this spring,” confirms Szikszay.
